Casino Loan Video – Transcript

Hello, I’m Bob Amter, the president of Montegra Capital. We are a direct lender based in Denver Colorado. We make loans on commercial and investment purpose residential properties when banks and life insurance companies don’t want to step in and do the loan. Let me tell you another example of how an actual Montegra borrower made a great deal of money using a one of our private capital loans.

Several years ago an individual who wanted to purchase an empty building in Central City, Colorado approached us. Central City is the gaming area near Denver. We made him a loan for $2,000,000. With this amount of money and some of his own capital, he was able to buy the building and start to renovate it into a casino propert. Over the years as he wanted to add on and expanding the space. As that happened, we’ve increased the loan amount to over $3,500,000.

The value of this casino, which is now up and running successfully, based on its earning is close to $12 to $14 Million. Our borrower started with no casino, no land, no building, now has all three valued, lets say for the sake of argument, at $14,000,000. That is a substantial gain from smartly using a private money loan.

Banks don’t like to do casino loans because they are severely restricted by the Federal Reserve. Life insurance companies will rarely even touch a casino property. But, by the borrower coming to Montegra and Montegra believing in the borrower, he is now facing a $10,000,000 gain in three and a half years.
